Things to Do and See

Arbuthnott, local, is still well worth visiting – with the Grassic Gibbon Centre  now reopened after its winter break & celebrates Grassic Gibbon’s work – it is also an excellent eatery, so do call in. It in open from 10.30 – 4.30.

You must read the Scots Quair – it contains the funniest story I have ever read. Reading it one morning at 3am – I could not put the book down – I cried with laughter.

The Kirk has its own story and there are “high” walks with impressive views, and riparian walks with shelter from the elements – strolls or decent rambles, to suit most tastes.

On its open days, see Arbuthnott House – an underrated gem.
